چکیده
Green synthesis of nanomaterials is the most recent trend in nanotechnology since it takes into consideration sustainable development and waste recycling, produces high value materials. Furthermore, green excludes use or production toxic hazardous chemicals to environment. This work aimed zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) using pomegranate peels extract as a reducing capping reagent instead chemicals. Structural morphological characterization ZnO NPs was studied X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared-Attenuated Total Reflection (FTIR-ATR), High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM) Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDX). In addition application insecticide control two destructive stored product insect pests; rice weevil Sitophilus oryzae (L.) Angoumois grain moth Sitotroga cerealella (Olivier). The results XRD, FTIR-ATR EDX confirmed formation NPs. Also, XRD HRTEM affirmed that size synthesized have very small around 4nm. toxicity studies showed exhibited progressive increase mortality S. adults subjected treated wheat grains by increasing exposure intervals concentration. A post effect on progeny counts exposed 3 concentrations observed. Adherence body surface visualized Scanning (SEM). Images strong uptake massively attachment through different parts body. present suggests eco-friendly are promising pests.

Evaluation of some Biological Properties of Zinc Oxide (ZnO) Nanoparticles synthesized by Green Method using Aqueous Extract of Rubia tinctrom
Introduction: Free radicals are molecules that have unpaired electrons in their last layer. The excessive production of free radicals causes oxidative stress. Oxidative stress thus adversely alters proteins, DNA and oxidation of the membrane phospholipids. Methods: The cytotoxic effects of zinc oxide nanoparticle were evaluated using MTT (3- (4-5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl) -2,5-difenyltetrazolium br...

A microwave radar system that senses motion was tested for capability to detect hidden insects of different sizes and activity levels in stored products. In initial studies, movements of individual adults or groups of Lasioderma serricorne (F.), Oryzaephilus surinamensis (L.), Attagenus unicolor (Brahm), and Tribolium castaneum (Herbst) were easily detected over distances up to 30 cm in air.
